BUCHAREST: About 116,685 Romanians got employed in the first seven months of this year due to active measures taken by the territorial branches of the National Employment Agency (ANOFM), Romanian news agency Agerpres reported on Thursday. Among the employed, 31, 59,471 are aged over 45; 19,316 between 35 and 45; 9,263 in 30-35 age bracket; 8,997 between 25 and 30; and 19,638 are youngsters under 25, ANOFM said in a press release. About 22,373 fall in the NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) category. The number of employed women is 54,557, and that of men is 62,128, accounting for 46.76 percent and 53.24 percent, respectively. Around 61,833 are from urban areas and 54,852 are rural residents.
