50 Saudi and Finnish Companies Seek to Boost Investment and Trade Opportunities between Saudi Arabia and Finland

Helsinki, The Saudi-Finnish Business Forum, organized by the Federation of Saudi Chambers and the Business Finland, convened today in Helsinki, Finland, in the presence of Minister of Commerce Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi, Vice Minister of Commerce Dr. Iman Al-Mutairi, and several businessmen from both sides, to discuss ways to enhance trade and investment relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Finland.

Chairman of the Saudi Regional Business Council for Northern European Countries Majed Al-Hokair said that the forum represents a qualitative leap in the trade and investment relations between the Saudi and Finnish private sectors, with the support of the leaders and officials in the two countries, which enhances plans towards achieving the desired aspirations in economic growth and competitive advantages and raising the level of trade exchanges between the two sides.

The forum highlighted the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s efforts in economic diversification, the investment opportunities offered in the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, the investment and trade environment, as well as investment opportunities in Finland, and the prospects for partnership between the two countries.

On the sidelines of the forum, two memoranda of understanding (MOUs) were signed between the Federation of Saudi Chambers, the Finland Chamber of Commerce, and the Business Finland Organization, to enhance cooperation between the business sectors and support trade and joint investment, in addition to an MOU between a Saudi and Finnish company in technology exchange related to smart cities.

The forum was held with the participation of more than 50 representatives of Saudi and Finnish companies in various economic sectors.
