A Citizen and an Indian Resident Arrested for Having Received Postal Package Containing (205,429) Amphetamine Tablets, Authority Reports

Riyadh, A Saudi citizen and Indian resident in Riyadh were recently arrested for having received a postal parcel containing (205,429) amphetamine tablets, a flagrant violation of anti-drug smuggling, peddling and use laws and regulations, it was reported today.

The official spokesman for the General Directorate of Narcotics Control, Major Mohammad Al-Nujaidi, stated that the proactive security follow-up of the criminal network’s activities, which target to tamper with the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its youths, by using and promoting drugs, resulted, in cooperation with the counterpart agency in Bahrain, and in coordination with the Kingdom’s Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, in apprehending the culprits and taking preliminary legal measures against them.
