Algiers, The Syrian national team for show jumping gained the gold medal at the Mediterranean Games being held in Algerian city of Oran city.
The Syrian team, comprising equestrians Shadi Gharib, Ahmed Hamshou, Laith Ali and Amr Hamshou, advanced over European, African and Asian teams, proving that Syrian equestrians are difficult number at the international forums.
This is the second time for the Syrian equestrians to win a medal at the team competitions as the first medal was silver in 10th round hosted in Lattakia in 1987.
