Abdulla Al Hamed Engages with Global Media Executives in Shanghai

Shanghai: Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Office (NMO) and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the UAE Media Council, conducted a series of high-level meetings with global executives in media, creative investment, smart education, and advanced technology during the BRIDGE Roadshow’s stop in Shanghai. The discussions aimed to explore strategic opportunities for co-developing digital content for Middle Eastern markets, driving investment in creative media, integrating artificial intelligence into education, and developing intelligent infrastructure for next-generation media cities.

According to Emirates News Agency, these meetings are part of the preparations for the BRIDGE Summit 2025, which is scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi this December. The objective is to deepen strategic partnerships with international organizations and unlock new pathways for collaboration across the global media and technology landscape.

Abdulla Al Hamed engaged with Jinjian Zhang, Founding Partner of VitalBridge, a Shanghai-based venture capital firm focusing on AI and robotics. He also held discussions with Bonnie Zhang, Founder of Cartea, an automotive lifestyle platform connecting Chinese brands with Gulf markets, and Vivi He, Founder of Xiaguangshe (ShineGlobal), a think tank offering global market strategies for Chinese firms expanding internationally.

Additionally, a significant meeting was conducted with Lv Yang Ming, President of Huawei Cloud Media Services Product Department. The discussions focused on advanced AI-powered content production, live-streaming solutions, and next-generation media infrastructure.

Abdulla Al Hamed highlighted the strategic importance of deepening collaboration with leading global technology and media firms for the UAE. He emphasized the necessity of forging strong international partnerships to build an agile and integrated media ecosystem that adapts to the rapid shifts of the digital age. The UAE’s commitment to positioning itself as a global media hub aims to drive the creation of impactful, responsible content, raise public awareness, and encourage open dialogue. Through these efforts, the UAE seeks to reinforce its role as a vibrant platform for intellectual and cultural exchange on the world stage.
