Abdullah Al-Lafi discusses with the British Ambassador the latest developments in the political scene in Libya


Tripoli: The representative of the Presidential Council, ‘Abdullah Al-Lafi’, discussed with the British Ambassador to Libya, ‘Martin Longden’, the latest developments in the political scene in Libya, ways to break the current stalemate, and progress in the political process, in addition to the reconciliation file, which the Presidential Council is working on completing, and a number of bilateral files between the two countries.

During the meeting on Tuesday, Al-Lafi stressed the importance of the international community playing a positive role in ending the political impasse, in line with the aspirations of the Libyans to reach stability and hold electoral elections.

In turn, the British Ambassador to Libya praised the role of the Presidential Council in the national reconciliation file, and expressed his country’s readiness to provide all support for the benefit of Libya and its stability.
