Abu dhabi: H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, engaged in a telephone conversation with Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates of Egypt, discussing the deep-rooted fraternal relations between the UAE and Egypt.
According to Emirates News Agency, the ministers reviewed ways to strengthen cooperation and strategic partnerships across various sectors to promote mutual interests for the benefit of both nations. The dialogue focused on regional developments, particularly in the Middle East, and efforts to enhance security, stability, and peace.
The conversation also included discussions on implementing the requirements of former US President Donald Trump's plan to achieve regional stability and sustainable development. Both ministers expressed the importance of improving the humanitarian response for civilians in the Gaza Strip to alleviate suffering.
Additionally, the diplomats addressed the ongoing civil war in Sudan, stressing the need for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire and ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid to civilians affected by the conflict.
