Abu dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) experienced the introduction of 17 securities during 2025, highlighting its market strength and investor confidence.
According to Emirates News Agency, Abdullah Salem Al Nuaimi, Group CEO of ADX, stated at Abu Dhabi Finance Week that the market is set to list two exchange-traded funds (ETFs) tomorrow. This will bring the total number of securities listed this year to 19. These ETFs mark the first dual listings between ADX and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), allowing them to be traded concurrently on both platforms. This initiative signifies a new era of connectivity between Abu Dhabi’s markets and global markets.
Al Nuaimi discussed ADX’s performance in 2025, noting that the year has been exceptional. The market has achieved rising growth across various indicators in recent months. He mentioned that the average daily trading value grew by nearly 10% compared to the previous year. Moreover, the market saw a significant expansion in listings, including companies, investment funds, and debt instruments.
Addressing foreign investment activity in 2025, Al Nuaimi revealed that foreign investment volumes rose by about 7%, with foreign investors accounting for around 40% of market trading. This, he said, underscores the strength of Abu Dhabi’s economy, confidence in ADX-listed companies, and improved market accessibility.
Looking ahead to 2026, Al Nuaimi anticipates that listing activity in the first quarter will be lower as companies focus on closing their financial statements. However, he expects a new wave of listings to commence in the second quarter. These listings are expected to include new companies and a variety of investment funds. Al Nuaimi emphasized that the market aims to expand its product range to cater to different investor segments.
