AD Ports Group Expands Global Reach with Acquisition of MBS Logistics

Abu dhabi: AD Ports Group (ADX: ADPORTS) has announced the acquisition of MBS Logistics, a Germany-based global integrated logistics services provider, for an Enterprise Value of AED 300 million (EUR 70 million). The acquisition involves full ownership of MBS Logistics' core business, excluding the company's joint ventures, and aligns with AD Ports Group's strategy to enhance operational scale and expand its global footprint.

According to Emirates News Agency, MBS Logistics reported revenues of AED 870 million (EUR 205 million) in 2025, reflecting a diversified and asset-light business model with core operations in freight forwarding across Germany and Central Europe. The company's established network extends across China, Vietnam, and the USA. This acquisition builds on the foundation established by Noatum Logistics, the Group's logistics arm, and supports an expansion strategy that combines organic growth with targeted acquisitions.

Jochen Thewes, CEO of the Logistics Cluster at AD Ports Group, emphasized the strategic importance of this acquisition, citing the opportunity to access key Central European markets through MBS Logistics' network. The acquisition is expected to increase network density, unlock revenue and cost synergies, and improve procurement scale and cost efficiency.

Germany's position as a pivotal player in global trade, being the world's third-largest trading economy, offers AD Ports Group a strong domestic base. The integration of MBS Logistics into AD Ports Group's network is set to enhance competitive rates and reliability for clients, ultimately strengthening the Group's position in competing for major global accounts.

With nearly four decades of industry experience, MBS Logistics brings a network of 26 offices worldwide and a team of over 450 professionals to AD Ports Group. This complements Noatum Logistics' existing network of over 80 offices across 26 countries, supported by over 4,250 industry specialists. MBS Logistics offers freight forwarding services across air, ocean, road, and rail, along with contract logistics and project cargo services.

The acquisition also expands AD Ports Group's presence in sectors such as aerospace, automotive, and e-commerce, with immediate access to major European logistics hubs. MBS Logistics' operations across China and Vietnam further enhance the Group's capabilities on the Europe-Asia and Trans-Pacific routes, while its offices on the USA's eastern seaboard bolster connectivity along Trans-Atlantic trade lanes.
