ADFD Projects Benefit Over 1.3 Million Families Worldwide

Abu dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) has highlighted the positive impact of its development projects, which have improved the lives of more than 1.3 million families in various developing countries. These initiatives reflect ADFD's commitment to advancing socioeconomic development and building resilient communities through strategic investments.

According to Emirates News Agency, ADFD's projects span across Asia, Africa, and other developing regions. The fund's efforts focus on strengthening infrastructure, increasing access to essential services, and creating long-term economic opportunities. These projects align with the UAE's 'Year of Family 2026', which emphasizes family cohesion and resilient communities as foundations for sustainable development.

The fund's initiatives cover key sectors such as infrastructure, renewable energy, water, healthcare, agriculture, AI, housing, and community development. By supporting these areas, ADFD aims to expand opportunities, enhance resilience, and improve the quality of life in developing nations. The fund's Director General, Mohamed Saif Al Suwaidi, emphasized the importance of families in building stable societies and noted that ADFD views its development financing as an investment in people.

ADFD's projects also focus on empowering women, supporting children's access to education, and helping families achieve sustainable livelihoods. Initiatives such as the Southern National Road No. 13 Development Project in Laos and the Mohammed bin Zayed Solar Energy Complex in Togo demonstrate the fund's impact. These projects improve connectivity, energy access, and economic opportunities, benefiting thousands of households and individuals.

In the Comoros, ADFD's Mother of the Nation Development Programme has benefited over 360,000 individuals through initiatives in agriculture, food security, and community empowerment. As global development priorities evolve, ADFD remains committed to financing projects that prioritize people, families, and community resilience in sustainable socioeconomic progress.
