Abu dhabi: ADNEC Group, a Modon company, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Khalifa University of Science and Technology to enhance cooperation on strategic initiatives, particularly focusing on innovation, education, and collaboration in national events. The agreement was signed during the Make it in the Emirates (MIITE 2026) event, marking a significant development in their ongoing partnership.
According to Emirates News Agency, the MoU was finalized by Humaid Al Dhaheri, Group CEO of ADNEC Group, and Prof. Ebrahim Al Hajri, President of Khalifa University, in the presence of notable leaders and dignitaries from both organizations. Humaid Al Dhaheri emphasized the importance of this partnership, stating that it represents a significant milestone in promoting the UAE's innovation ecosystem and enhancing events. He highlighted the aim to deliver impactful initiatives that drive progress in technology, science, and education, thereby reinforcing Abu Dhabi's position as a global hub for innovation and talent development.
Prof. Ebrahim Al Hajri expressed that the partnership formalizes a longstanding relationship that is crucial to bringing Khalifa University's research and innovation to the broader community. He noted that ADNEC serves as a gathering place for various national sectors, including energy, healthcare, Agri tech, and security, where Khalifa University has consistently contributed through technologies and talent to advance national goals. This formalization of commitment aims to support the UAE's knowledge economy further.
ADNEC Group and Khalifa University will work together on various major events included in the Capital Events portfolio. These events, such as the International Exhibition for National Security and Resilience, Unmanned Systems Exhibition and Simulation and Training Exhibition, and the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition, among others, will emphasize education, research, and innovation initiatives.
Moreover, the MoU appoints ADNEC Group as the exclusive event organizer for Khalifa University's graduation ceremonies. This involves providing a full range of event management services to ensure high-quality celebrations. Khalifa University's annual graduation ceremony is a notable event in the UAE's academic calendar, celebrating numerous graduates in fields like engineering, computing, and life sciences. The University's decision to entrust ADNEC Group with organizing such events underscores its commitment to delivering an experience worthy of its graduates' achievements.
Khalifa University is also actively participating in the fifth and largest edition of Make it in the Emirates, where it is showcasing its extensive portfolio of advanced research technologies. The event features a multi-day program led by the Khalifa University Enterprises Company (KUEC), the University's commercialisation and technology transfer platform.
