Abu Dhabi: ADNOC Drilling Company PJSC has revealed the appointment of Abdulla Ateya Al Messabi as its new Chief Executive Officer. Abdulrahman Abdulla Al Seiari, the current CEO, is set to retire at the end of the year after serving ADNOC and ADNOC Drilling for over 45 years. He will continue in an advisory role until year-end to ensure a smooth leadership transition.
According to Emirates News Agency, Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, ADNOC Managing Director and Group CEO and Chairman of ADNOC Drilling, expressed gratitude for Al Seiari's extensive service. Under Al Seiari's leadership, ADNOC Drilling has become one of the largest and most technologically advanced energy services providers globally, focusing on operational excellence, safety, and national talent development.
Dr. Al Jaber also welcomed Abdulla Ateya Al Messabi as the new CEO, highlighting his operational expertise and leadership experience within the ADNOC value chain. Al Messabi is expected to drive ADNOC Drilling's strategy for profitable growth and long-term value creation, ensuring continued efficiency across all operations.
Al Seiari's retirement concludes a notable career, during which he guided ADNOC Drilling through a significant transformation, including a landmark initial public offering on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange that was 31 times oversubscribed. Under his guidance, ADNOC Drilling has become a high-performing, technology-driven energy services company.
Al Messabi, with his extensive industry experience, has previously served as CEO of ADNOC Sour Gas and ADNOC Refining. His leadership has consistently facilitated operational excellence, business transformation, and sustainable growth across ADNOC's portfolio. His expertise will bolster ADNOC Drilling's ongoing growth and strategic ambitions.
