ADNOC Unveils ‘Make it with ADNOC’ App to Enhance UAE’s Local Manufacturing and Industrial Growth

Abu Dhabi: ADNOC today announced the launch of 'Make it with ADNOC', a first-of-its-kind mobile application, to boost local manufacturing and accelerate the UAE's industrial growth. The app, launched in support of the Make it in the Emirates initiative, offers real-time visibility into products ADNOC intends to purchase.

According to Emirates News Agency, manufacturers, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and entrepreneurs will gain a clear pathway to capitalize on long-term local manufacturing opportunities through the Make it with ADNOC app. The innovative app will enable smarter engagement for businesses with ADNOC, enhance transparency in the procurement process, de-risk investment decisions, and facilitate supplier onboarding.

Yaser Saeed Almazrouei, ADNOC Executive Director, People, Commercial and Corporate Support, expressed enthusiasm about the app, stating that it will provide businesses with real-time visibility into the products ADNOC plans to purchase. This initiative is seen as a key catalyst of the Make it in the Emirates initiative, aiming to boost local manufacturing and strengthen the resilience of the UAE's industrial base.

The launch event at ADNOC HQ witnessed the presence of prominent figures such as Salama Alawadhi, Assistant Under-Secretary of Industry Development at the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, and Rashed Abdulkareem Al Blooshi, Under-Secretary of Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, among others. These leaders underscored the strategic importance of the app in driving industrial growth and enhancing local manufacturing capabilities.

He encouraged participation in the upcoming Make it in the Emirates forum, where over 500 companies will explore new investment opportunities and incentives.

Rashed Abdulkarim Al Blooshi emphasized the alignment of the app with the objectives of the Abu Dhabi Industrial Strategy (ADIS) and the broader vision of Abu Dhabi's Falcon Economy. The app is seen as a strategic step to boost local supply chains and encourage private sector participation in priority manufacturing sectors.

Badr Al Olama, Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO), noted that the app streamlines access to local manufacturing opportunities, enhancing the competitiveness of the industrial ecosystem and creating a compelling environment for investors.

Shamis Al Dhaheri, Second Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, remarked on the app's strategic impact in strengthening the UAE's industrial capabilities by offering real-time access to procurement opportunities. This initiative is expected to foster a collaborative ecosystem that empowers local manufacturers and SMEs to scale and innovate.

The launch of the app precedes the Make it in the Emirates forum, scheduled for 19-22 May in Abu Dhabi, and builds on the success of ADNOC's ICV program, which has significantly contributed to the UAE economy and employment. ADNOC aims to drive AED200 billion (US$54.5 billion) into the UAE economy over the next five years as part of its ICV programme.
