Riyadh, The Agricultural Development Fund (ADF) today received a delegation from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), which is currently visiting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with the aim of getting acquainted with the lending and financing mechanism for small agricultural activities and to discuss the implementation of projects that can help develop agricultural crops in areas with comparative advantages in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
ADF officials met with head of the delegation Dr. Noufal Talahiq and his accompanying delegates, where they had a firsthand look at AFD’s top services and credit products for farmers, cooperative association and agricultural companies, in addition to its main role in financing various fields of the agricultural activity across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to help develop the agricultural sector and increase its productivity with the use of best international methods and modern technologies to realize the strategic agricultural and water goals of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and realize the AFD motto “Towards sustainable agriculture”.
The two sides also discussed AFD’s role in keeping pace with the agricultural strategy that focuses on agricultural rural development depending on the comparatives advantages and food security, in addition to its support and role in encouraging the use of technologies and modern practices to preserve natural resources and improve the agricultural productivity.
