Sharjah: Air Arabia, the Middle East and North Africa's first and largest budget carrier operator, has announced the launch of daily non-stop flights between Sharjah and Dsseldorf, set to commence on 16th December 2026. Dsseldorf will become Air Arabia's third destination in Germany from Sharjah, joining Munich and Frankfurt in the airline's expanding European network.
According to Emirates News Agency, the new route will be operated using Air Arabia's Airbus A320neo, providing passengers with a modern cabin experience while enhancing operational efficiency and fuel performance. Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia, emphasized the significance of this launch as a milestone in the airline's European network expansion, reinforcing the connectivity between the UAE and Germany.
"With three destinations now served non-stop from Sharjah, we continue to enhance connectivity between the UAE and Germany while offering our customers greater choice, convenience, and affordable travel. Our focus remains on expanding our network and delivering reliable, value-driven travel," he stated.
Lars Redeligx, CEO of Dsseldorf Airport, acknowledged the importance of connections to the Middle East and the Gulf region as part of their international network. He noted that the new daily service to Sharjah will further strengthen these links, benefiting travelers from North Rhine-Westphalia and neighboring regions in the Netherlands through Air Arabia's extensive network across the Middle East, South Asia, and Southeast Asia.
