Chongqing: H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, visited the Chongqing Planning Exhibition Hall, a key site for urban development in the city, situated along the Yangtze River's southern bank. The visit forms part of Sheikh Ammar's ongoing trip to Chongqing, aimed at exploring the city's infrastructure and urban planning strategies.
According to Emirates News Agency, during his visit, H.H. Sheikh Ammar received an extensive briefing on the exhibition, which covers over 13,000 square meters and features multimedia halls, interactive rooms, and 3D display rooms showcasing the city's planning. He remarked on the exhibition as a model of urban planning that balances engineering vision with cultural understanding, emphasizing its role in shaping sustainable smart cities.
Sheikh Ammar was joined by Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Sheikh Rashid bin Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, and other senior officials from the Ajman government. The exhibition highlights the integration of modern architecture with local culture, emphasizing the relationship between natural and human elements.
The Crown Prince also visited the Three Gorges Museum, a significant cultural site in China. The museum, covering 30,000 square meters, is known for its interactive exhibits, rare artifacts, and virtual reality experiences, drawing millions of visitors annually. It also offers educational programs aimed at instilling heritage values in youth.
Sheikh Ammar expressed admiration for the museum's approach to preserving history for future generations, noting its role in strengthening national identity. He emphasized the importance of cultural cooperation between nations to foster mutual understanding and communication. The museum, recognized for its cultural innovation and public service, holds several honorary titles and is classified under the AAAA category in China.
