Ajman: H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, has ordered the release of 304 prisoners from punitive and correctional institutions in Ajman, ahead of the UAE's 53rd Eid Al Etihad. The decision is made as part of a humanitarian gesture to allow these individuals to reunite with their families during this significant national celebration. According to Emirates News Agency, the inmates, who come from various nationalities, were chosen for release based on their good conduct and behaviour during their time in custody. This act of clemency is in line with efforts to encourage rehabilitation and reintegration into society. The Ruler of Ajman expressed his hope that the released prisoners would successfully reintegrate into public life after serving their sentences. He emphasized that the joy of Eid Al Etihad would be more complete with the reunion of these individuals with their families, underlining the importance of family bonds during festive occasions.
