Abu dhabi: Egypt, Cyprus, and Greece have expressed their unwavering support for the security and stability of the Arab Gulf states, reaffirming their commitment to the region's sovereignty and territorial integrity. This stance was declared in a joint statement at the conclusion of the Al-Alamein Trilateral Summit, attended by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides, and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
According to Emirates News Agency, the summit resulted in a declaration emphasizing the resolution of disputes and crises through political and diplomatic channels. The leaders advocated for adherence to international law and the principles enshrined in the UN Charter, including respect for the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of states. The summit underscored the importance of refraining from threats or use of force to maintain regional peace and stability.
The leaders also highlighted their dedication to continued cooperation and joint efforts to foster peace, security, and stability across the Middle East.
