Al-Hakim to the Jordanian media delegation: Iraq seeks to be a meeting point for all and is not a party to any axis

Baghdad, The head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, affirmed: “Iraq seeks to be a meeting point for all, and is not a party to any axis.”

Al-Hakim said during recieving the Jordanian media delegation, in the presence of the head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, President of the Federation of Arab Journalists Moayad Al-Lami: “The national identity does not intersect with the special sub-identities, but deals with them positively.”

He expressed his happiness at the diversity of mutual delegations between Iraq and Jordan, indicating: “This represents an embodiment of the relationship between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples and the depth of mutual interests between them.”

He referred to the changes that Iraq is going through, where the presence of the Iraqi components in the Iraqi scene politically and socially, the resort to democracy and the departure of the central regime and its repressive tools, noting: “The difficulty of decision- making and the multiplicity of opinions are among the features of the democratic system.”

Al-Hakim explained: “The national identity does not intersect with the special sub-identities, but deals with them positively,” pointing out: “Iraq is a nation that includes peoples and components that meet at the inclusive national identity.”

He stressed: “Iraq is not with the policy of axes, but strives to be a meeting point for all and is not a party to any axis.”

He continued: “Iraq has passed dangerous turns, including the turning point of confronting terrorism and sectarianism, and we cited the success of the 25th Gulf Championship in Basra and the positive image it conveyed about Iraq and refuted all the negative images that were drawn about Iraq by the Gulf citizen.”
