Al-Hwaij stresses the importance of activating the land crossings between Libya and Algeria. The Minister of Economy and Trade, “Mohammed Al-Hwaij,” stressed the importance of activating the land ports between Libya and Algeria to increase the volume of trade exchange and activate free zones and transit trade towards the African market. This came during his meeting today, Monday, with a number of business owners and Algerian companies specialized in the fields of industrial engineering and oil, in the presence of the Undersecretary for Economic Affairs and Free Zones Affairs and the Director of the Ministry’s Foreign Trade and International Cooperation Department. Al-Hwaij said that the Ministry of Economy and Trade is keen to provide all necessary facilities in the investment and trade sectors and support the private sector to contribute to the diversification of the national economy, according to what was published on the official Facebook page of the Ministry of Economy. The attendees discussed ways to enhance trade relations between the private sector in Libya and Algeria, and to organize meetings involving business owners and investors to exchange experiences and present promising investment opportunities.
