Al-Khobar Hospital Uses Robot for 12 Successful Open-Heart Surgeries

The Cardiac Center at King Fahd Hospital, part of Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University, issued a press statement yesterday informing that it had successfully performed 12 open-heart surgeries utilizing a surgical robot. Dr. Fahd Makhdom, a cardiac surgeon at the university hospital, stressed that this is a significant advancement in cardiac care, as it enables patients to recover faster and return to their normal lives more quickly. He also said that the use of robotic technology has become a global trend in medicine. According to Makhdom, open-heart surgery requires precision and skill, and the hospital's experience with the robot has demonstrated its effectiveness in improving patients' outcomes.
