Representative in the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, discussed today, Wednesday in Tripoli, with the Chargé d’Affaires of the Saudi Embassy in Libya, Ahmed bin Abdullah Al-Shehri, bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to enhance them.
The representative of the Presidential Council expressed his appreciation for the role of Saudi Arabia in supporting the path of a peaceful solution to the political crisis in Libya, in addition to its distinguished role at the Arab and regional levels, according to the Presidential Council.
Al-Lafi indicated that the Presidential Council will continue to work to achieve consensus on legal frameworks, to reach the conduct of electoral elections, with the participation of all political parties, and to achieve complete stability in the country.
For his part, the Saudi Chargé d’Affaires praised the efforts of the Presidential Council to address the political impasse, by supporting the initiative of the UN envoy to Libya, as well as the nation
al reconciliation project, and working with all parties to make it successful, stressing his country’s support for this path, until Libya crosses into a stage of stability, prosperity and construction.
