Baghdad, The head of the State of Law Coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, discussed today with the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Walid Ismail, the future of bilateral relations and ways to develop them between the two brotherly countries, and issues of common concern.
Al-Maliki stressed, according to a statement by his office, the importance of Egypt’s pivotal role at the regional and international levels, and the importance of coordinating joint efforts and consolidating solidarity and cooperation for the interest of the two brotherly peoples.
He pointed out: that Iraq was able to overcome many challenges, explaining by saying: We have overcome many challenges, and today everyone supports and backs the new government in order to succeed and implement its commitments to the Iraqi people.
In turn, Ambassador Ismail affirmed Egypt’s keenness to consolidate relations between the two brotherly countries in all fields in order to serve common interests.
