Tripoli: The President of the Presidential Council, "Mohammed Al-Manfi", discussed today, Sunday, with the Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations for Political Affairs, "Rose Marie DiCarlo", the latest political, economic and military developments in Libya. The media office of the President of the Council stated that the meeting was attended by the Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General in Libya, Acting Head of the Mission, "Stephanie Khoury", and discussed the Council's efforts to advance the political process. During the meeting, "Rose Marie" stressed the need for joint action to urge all parties to commit and participate to reach consensual results that lead the country to a stage of stability, affirming her support for President "Mohammed Al-Manfi" and his balanced steps towards achieving comprehensive peace in Libya. "Al-Manfi" explained his continued support for the efforts of the United Nations Mission in Libya, and working with it in partnership by strengthening national owne rship of solutions and consensus and unifying institutions within the framework of the reference of the political agreement and its complementary roadmap, to enhance stability and achieve elections.
