Tripoli: The President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Menfi, met yesterday in Accra, Ghana, with the new Secretary-General of the Arab Maghreb Union, Tarek Bin Salem, to discuss ways to activate the Union's work. The communication office of the President stated that Al-Menfi discussed with Bin Salem the nature of participation in the semi-annual coordination meeting of the African Union, as well as integration mechanisms between the African Union, the Arab Maghreb Union, and the rest of the regional economic groups, and the reactivation of the sectoral ministerial committees and the Union's institutions and authorities. Al-Menfi arrived yesterday in Accra to participate in the work of the 6th semi-annual coordination meeting between the African Union, the regional economic communities, and the African mechanisms.
