Doha: Al Rayyan SC announced the departure of Japanese defender Shogo Taniguchi from the first team during summer transfer. In a statement, the club said it had agreed with the player to terminate the contract between the two parties by mutual consent. Taniguchi joined Al Rayyan in the 2022-2023 winter transfer from Japan's Kawasaki Frontale. During this summer transfers, Al Rayyan signed Swedish coach Poya Asbaghi, coming from Al Shamal SC, replacing Portuguese Leonardo Jardim, whose contract was terminated by mutual consent after one season with the team.
