The US Special Envoy to Libya, Richard Norland, praised the efforts made by the High National Elections Commission and its officials to provide ideal conditions for holding free and credible elections that express the will of Libyans and their aspirations for a stable democratic state. This came during his reception and the accompanying delegation by the Chairman of the Commission's Board, Imad Al-Sayeh, today, Tuesday, at the Commission's Board of Directors in Tripoli. The visit of the US Special Envoy to Libya comes within the framework of supporting the elections, as the two parties discussed during the meeting the procedures related to preparing for the municipal council elections. The two sides reviewed, according to the Commission's media office, the positions of the political parties on the electoral process in general, and the municipal council elections in particular, and the impact of these positions on the possibility of their implementation and the chances of their success.
