Tripoli: The Minister of Local Government in the Government of National Unity, Badr Al-Din Al-Toumi, called on the International Organization for Migration in Libya to provide support and assistance to the displaced Sudanese in Kufra. The Minister explained - during his meeting on Wednesday with the Head of Mission to Libya, Nicoletta Giordano - that the role of the Ministry of Local Government is a service role, stressing the need for periodic communication between the organization and the ministry, and informing the ministry of the organization's future activities periodically, and consulting with it in particular; to ensure that the needs and priorities of citizens are taken into account. The Minister pointed to the difference between illegal immigrants and residents with a work permit and official papers, calling for attention and focus on Libyan citizens displaced from their regions.
