ALECSO Executive Council Meeting to Kick off in Jeddah with 22 Arab Countries Participating

Jeddah: The 121st session of the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) convened today in Jeddah, chaired by Saudi Arabia, with the participation of 22 Arab countries. In light of the exceptional circumstances faced by the Palestinian people, the council strongly condemned the brutal war that has claimed the lives of thousands of civilians and destroyed infrastructure and educational and cultural institutions. The council also reaffirmed its absolute rejection of the ongoing aggression, occupation, and forced displacement of the people of Gaza.

Hosted by the Saudi National Commission for Education, Culture, and Science, the two-day meeting will address a number of topics and initiatives to promote knowledge and innovation in the Arab world. The meeting is expected to conclude tomorrow, Wednesday.
