Dushanbe:Alef Education, a prominent UAE-based education technology firm, has announced a significant partnership with Soro AI Limited, a branch of zypl.ai, to implement AI-powered learning solutions for 250,000 students in Tajikistan. The initiative also aims to expand into Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan in the future.

According to Wam, this collaboration is a strategic move in Alef Education's global expansion, bringing its Alef Pathways learning solution in subjects like English, Mathematics, and Science to new educational systems. This endeavor will blend Alef's structured educational content with Soro AI's local-language technology and expertise in AI curriculum to create learning experiences tailored to students' proficiency levels and local educational requirements.

Geoffrey Alphonso, CEO of Alef Education, highlighted the importance of understanding students' learning processes, teachers' needs, and adapting solutions to varied educational systems to expand access to quality education. The partnership with Soro AI enables Alef Education to introduce personalized learning to new communities while working with a partner familiar with local languages and curricula.

The initial phase of this collaboration will commence in Tajikistan, with an English Pathways pilot program set to begin for Grade 11 students and teachers in selected public schools by January 2027, contingent on implementation readiness. This pilot will be used to evaluate student participation, learning progress, and teacher feedback to guide future implementations.

Azizjon Azimi, founder of zypl.ai, expressed that their work in Tajikistan aims to make AI accessible and relevant to schools nationwide. The partnership with Alef Education is expected to scale the Soro vision of empowering children through AI, focusing on developing solutions that reflect local educational priorities and support classroom learning.

Post-pilot, Alef Education and Soro AI plan to broaden their collaboration into Mathematics and Science, customizing content to align with local curricula and integrating Alef Pathways with Soro's existing AI-powered tools. They aim for a wider deployment by September 2027, pending technical readiness and necessary approvals.
