Algeria's 20-day presidential election campaign started Thursday. Running for the position are current president Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Abdelaali Hassani Cherif of the Movement of Society for Peace (MSP), and Youcef Aouchiche of the Socialist Forces Front (FFS). Algeria's Independent Authority for Elections (ANIE) revealed that the number of people eligible to vote exceeds 24 million. The Algerian presidential elections will be held on September 7.
