Tehran, Syria’s Ambassador in Tehran, Shafiq Dayoub visited on Friday the Syrian pavilion in the 1st Festival and Exhibition of Sister and Twin Cities of Tehran which witnessed an active turnout from Iranian officials, businessmen, scholars, academics, and foreign visitors Dayoub, accompanied by senior Iranian officials, stressed that the Syrian participation in the exhibition reflects the strong friendly relations between the two countries and confirms the determination of Syria and its people to overcome difficulties and achieve more successes.
Dayoub stated that “Syria and Iran are partners in the war against terrorism”, and that “it is necessary that they be partners in the reconstruction of what was destroyed by terrorism”, expressed “Syria’s aspiration to further strengthen relations between the two countries in all fields”.
In addition, Ambassador Dayoub briefed Nicaragua’s Minister of Transport, Oscar Mohica, and the mayor of Managua, the capital of Nicaragua, about the sections of the Syrian pavilion during their tour in it.
They, in turn, hailed Syria’s steadfastness in the face of the terrorist war it was exposed to, and its determination survive despite all difficulties and challenges.
The events of the 1st Festival and Exhibition of Sister and Twin Cities of Tehran kicked off in Tehran on last Monday and end tomorrow.
The Syrian pavilion contained paintings and brochures simulating historical, cultural, civilizational, urban, originality, history and Syrian heritage.
