Ajman: H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Ajman University, inaugurated the new Centre for Inclusive Learning for Students of Determination at Ajman University. This initiative aligns with the university’s transition to a non-profit organisation and underscores its ongoing commitment to inclusivity and excellence in higher education.
According to Emirates News Agency, the centre aims to integrate students of determination into the academic community, providing an environment that fosters academic, social, and professional growth. It is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring equal access to opportunities and resources. The centre will offer proctored exams and advanced tools such as screen readers and Braille printers to assist students with disabilities.
Dr. Karim Seghir, Chancellor of Ajman University, highlighted the significance of the Crown Prince’s attendance at the inauguration, notin
g its alignment with UAE Vision 2031’s educational goals. He emphasized the university’s dedication to creating an inclusive academic community and raising academic standards as a non-profit institution. Dr. Seghir also expressed gratitude to the family of the late Abdul Wahid Al Rostamani for their financial support in establishing the centre.
Future plans for the university include expanding specialised support services and academic programs tailored for students of determination, furthering Ajman University’s mission to empower all students regardless of their backgrounds.
