In Amran Governorate today, 1,364,449 narcotic pills, classified as prohibited substances harmful to human health and safety, were destroyed. During the operation to combat drug trafficking, the governorate's first undersecretary, Abdul Aziz Abu Kharfasha, the governorate's security director, Brigadier General Nayef Abu Kharfasha, and the deputy prosecutor of violations, Hafez Abu Hatem, emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts between security services and relevant authorities to combat the spread of drugs. They highlighted that the confiscation and destruction of a large number of narcotic pills at checkpoints in the province, in cooperation with the rescue forces, demonstrates the level of collaboration and coordination between security and judicial agencies in the fight against contraband and drugs.
