Jeddah, The management of the Jeddah Season 2022, during a press conference held at the Jeddah Yacht Club, has announced the numbers and regions of the Jeddah Season, which is planned to begin in early May and last for two months.
Executive Director of the Communication and Marketing Sector at the National Events Center Qaswarh Al-Khatib praised the support and interest of the Kingdom’s leadership in developing the events sector, stimulating the organizing environment, improving the provided services, and promoting integration for the sector’s sustainability.
He stressed the National Events Center’s endeavor, under the supervision and guidance of the Events Committee at the Council of Economic and Development Affairs, to provide more, bigger, and better events in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the well-being of the society and the prosperity of the national economy.
He praised the center’s partners in the sectors of culture, tourism, and entertainment.
Al-Khatib said that the Jeddah Season is one of the most important national events with which we look forward to making the city of Jeddah a permanent tourist destination in the region.
He noted that activities of the 2022 Jeddah Season will start at the beginning of next May and last for two months, witnessing the establishment of 2,800 event days in nine major areas in the city that possess all the elements of tourist attractions through their historical, cultural, and heritage status, cultural diversity, and unique marine identity.
In this context, Al-Khatib revealed that Jeddah Season 2022, in its second edition, demonstrates the Kingdom’s leadership in the entertainment industry, enhancing its tourism position and achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
He pointed out that the season will witness the establishment of (4) international exhibitions, (7) Arab plays, (2) international plays, (20) Arab concerts, and (3) international concerts. Throughout the season, there will be (70) interactive experiences and a global show (Cirque du Soleil), and the season will witness (5) marine programs and activities, more than (60) entertainment games, and (60) fireworks shows.
Director General of Jeddah Season Nawaf Qumsani stressed that Jeddah residents and visitors of all ages are promised a global season of joy, fun, and entertainment through the multiplicity of event areas, their diversity, and ease of access.
He pointed out that announcing the activities of the Jeddah Season 2022 before the start of the events makes it easier for families and visitors to plan early to attend and participate in the events. He also mentioned that the Jeddah Season creates many job opportunities for young people of both genders and enhances their role and participation in the Kingdom’s entertainment industry.
As for the locations of the events, Qumsani stated that events will be held at nine different sites, including the Jeddah Art Promenade, Jeddah Pier, Jeddah Jungle, Jeddah Yacht Club, Jeddah Superdome, Prince Majid Park, City Walk, Cirque de Soleil, and Jeddah Albalad.
The ceremony witnessed a group of drone formations that narrated the slogan of the season and the event areas.
