Arab League Secretary General Welcomes Spain, Ireland, and Norway’s Recognition of the State of Palestine


Cairo: The Secretary General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, warmly welcomed the decision by Norway, Spain, and Ireland to formally recognize the State of Palestine. He saw this move as a strong show of support for a two-state solution and a significant step towards the creation of a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Aboul Gheit urged other nations to reconsider their positions and support Palestine’s recognition, emphasizing that this move aligns with the two-state solution and contributes to regional peace and security.
