ARCO: Targeting civilian objects in Saudi Arabia represents flagrant violation of International Law principles

Riyadh, The secretariat general of the Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross Organization (ARCO) has denounced the hostile attacks to target civilian objects and economic facilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in a systematic and deliberate way.

ARCO Secretary General Dr. Saleh bin Hamad Al-Tuwaijri expressed the organization’s condemnation of these attacks that target civilian objects that enjoy the protection of the international humanitarian law as stipulated in the Geneva Conventions (1949) and their additional protocols (1977), where ARCO stressed its rejection and condemnation of these recurrent hostile practices against civilians, stressing that these attacks lead to causing damage to human souls that practice activities in civilian locations.

Dr. Al-Tuwaijri added that these attacks represent a flagrant violation of the principles of the international humanitarian law and relevant international conventions, for their impacts on threating and frightening civilians, calling on the international community to bear its responsibilities and stand firm against the enemies of humanity and stop the recurrence of such acts that violate international laws and norms.
