Riyadh, Assistant Speaker of the Shura Council Dr. Hanan bint Abdulrahim Al-Ahmadi met here today with member of the French Senate Nathalie Goulet and the accompanying delegation, as part of her visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
During the meeting, they discussed a number of issues of common interest, and ways to enhance the bilateral relations and cooperation at the parliamentary level between the Shura Council and the French Senate.
Al-Ahmadi praised the bilateral relations at the parliamentary level that bring together the Shura Council and the French Parliament. She also reviewed the pioneering efforts exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the international level in the framework of promoting global economic growth, environmental sustainability, support for joint international action to confront the Coronavirus pandemic, and the achievements made during the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s presidency of the G20 last year.
For her part, the member of the French Senate stressed the importance of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s role in confronting and combating terrorism and the measures it has taken, including establishing Etidal Center, which plays an important role in this field, praising the Kingdom’s current efforts that require joint action with various regional and international institutions.
