Ataya Initiative Enhances Gaza Healthcare with New Ambulances as Part of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3.

Gaza: The Ataya Initiative has delivered a number of ambulances to support healthcare services in the Gaza Strip under Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, an effort led by wise leadership to address the humanitarian needs of the region’s residents. The ambulances arrived as part of the fifth shipment at the Port of Arish in Egypt.

According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikha Shamsa bint Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Assistant to the Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) for Women Affairs and the wife of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region, stated that Ataya has emerged as a leading initiative from the UAE, focusing on humanitarian and social development globally. The initiative is noteworthy for its sustainable contributions through healthcare, education, and social projects aimed at supporting underserved communities.

Sheikha Shamsa acknowledged the significant challenges confronting the healthcare system in Gaza due to ongoing crises. She remarked, “The
Ataya Initiative carefully assessed the actual needs of the people there, leading to the decision to allocate proceeds from the latest Ataya exhibition to support humanitarian causes for Palestinians, particularly in healthcare.”

Sheikha Shamsa further explained that the provision of ambulances was in response to an urgent need to preserve lives and care for patients. She noted that this move adds to the UAE’s extensive history of supporting Palestinians, especially in healthcare, through numerous programs and initiatives that have bolstered Gaza’s medical sector and provided comprehensive care to its people.

She emphasized that these ambulances will empower healthcare institutions to carry out their duties more effectively, enabling medical teams to reach patients and those injured promptly and deliver essential care.
