Awqaf Authority condemns mercenaries’ demolition tomb of Allama Ali al-Sururi in Lahj

The General Authority of Endowments condemned the mercenaries of the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression to demolish and destroy the tomb of the scholar Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Sururi in Turbat Abu Al-Asrar area of Al-Mudaraba and Ras Al-Ara district in Lahj province, who died 900 years ago.

In a statement, a copy of which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the authority considered the demolition and exhumation of the shrine of Allama al-Sururi, a crime added to the criminal record of the aggression mercenaries who seek and are still seeking to obliterate and blow up the shrines of the venerable scholars, destroy the domes of the shrines of the righteous, the approved and systematic demolition of hundreds of mosques and graves nine years ago.

The Endowment Authority called on international organizations concerned with preserving human heritage and free people of the world to carry out their responsibility in protecting historical monuments, monuments ,cities that are being obliterated and distorted by the aggression forces and mercenaries.

It affirmed adherence to the legal right to demand the United Nations to form impartial international commissions of inquiry to punish criminals for their disgraceful criminal behaviour.
