Bahrain Forum for Human Rights: Bahrain’s participation in an alliance against Yemen threatens its security & increases suffering of Palestinians

The Bahrain Forum for Human Rights in Beirut organized on Wednesday an electronic symposium under the title (Bahrain’s participation in the coalition against Yemen: the human rights and legal position).

In a statement issued by the forum this evening, the participants in this symposium warned that Bahrain’s illegal and unconstitutional participation in the coalition against Yemen threatens Bahrain’s security and increases the suffering of the Palestinian people.

The statement called on the Bahraini authorities to immediately retreat and correct course instead of getting involved in violations and genocide crimes.

The participants stressed that Bahrain’s participation in the coalition is one of the manifestations of the human rights, political and constitutional crisis in Bahrain.

The participants said: The United States’ resort to obtaining international cover confirms that this alliance cannot be defensive, but rather offensive.

It is worth noting that among the most prominent participants in the sympo
sium were the head of the Salam Organization for Democracy and Human Rights, Jawad Fairouz, the professor of international law, Dr. Muhammad Tay, the head of the Insan Organization for Rights and Liberties, Dr. Amir Jahaf, and the head of the Bahrain Forum for Human Rights, Professor Baqir Darwish.
