Manama: Bahrain's Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, led by Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, and the Muslim Council of Elders, represented by Judge Mohamed Abdelsalam, have convened to discuss the upcoming Intra-Islamic Dialogue Conference. This significant event is set to occur in Bahrain on February 19-20.
According to Emirates News Agency, the conference will welcome distinguished figures, including His Eminence Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders, along with leading scholars from the Muslim Ummah. Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa extended a warm welcome to the esteemed guests, emphasizing that preparations are in place to ensure the conference's success. He noted that the event aims to produce recommendations that foster unity and cohesion among the Muslim Ummah amid current global challenges.
The Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders highlighted the conference's timing during a pivotal moment for the Muslim Ummah. The aim is to initiate a new phase of dialogue between Islamic schools of thought, forging a shared vision to restore the leadership role of the Muslim nation. The event, themed "One Nation, One Shared Destiny," will gather over 400 influential scholars, leaders, religious authorities, thinkers, and intellectuals globally. It seeks to strengthen Muslim unity, deepen mutual understanding, and establish a continuous dialogue framework within the Islamic world.
