Barghouti: US deployment of THAAD system proves Israel’s failure to defend itself

Ramallah - Ma'an - Dr. Mustafa Barghouti, Secretary-General of the National Initiative, said that the deployment of the US THAAD anti-ballistic missile system in Israel with American officers to operate it indicates four serious and important matters: 1- Israel is unable to protect itself without direct American support. 2- Israel failed to repel the latest Iranian attack. 3- The United States is preparing Israel the possibility of escalating the attack on Lebanon and launching a new, large-scale attack on Iran. 4- The United States has become an unprecedented participant with its weapons and soldiers in Israel's aggressive wars. Barghouti added that Blinken and Austin giving Israel a full month to address the issue of humanitarian aid means giving Israel the green light to complete the crime of genocide and ethnic cleansing in northern Gaza, which has failed and will fail due to the heroic steadfastness of the people of Gaza.
