Dr. Eng. Al Tunaiji highlighted the agreement as a significant milestone in EKTIFA's efforts to develop a more integrated and sustainable agricultural and livestock production system. This collaboration is expected to support Sharjah's goals and national objectives to enhance sustainable food security. The cooperation with BEEAH is intended to establish a responsible approach to managing operational waste, ensuring compliance with environmental standards, and contributing to waste reduction and natural resource protection.

Fahad Ali Shehail, CEO - Sustainability at BEEAH, emphasized the partnership's importance, which combines advanced production systems with BEEAH's sustainable waste management expertise. The collaboration aims to integrate sustainable waste management practices within Sharjah's agricultural and livestock industry, including strengthening collection, sorting, and transportation processes. Under the agreement, EKTIFA will be responsible for organizing waste collection at designated sites and providing agreed quantities according to operational schedules. Their facility management teams will conduct initial waste sorting in line with local regulations. BEEAH will then transport the waste from approved collection points at EKTIFA's projects in Mleiha, ensuring adherence to professional, environmental, and health standards.

BEEAH will also implement measures to prevent waste leakage and minimize odours or pollutants during collection and transportation. Additionally, waste containers will be regularly cleaned and disinfected using environmentally approved products, meeting health, safety, and hygiene requirements.
