Dubai: Bolt, a prominent international ride-hailing platform, has initiated its services in the UAE, unveiling its operations on the significant occasion of Eid Al Etihad. This strategic launch is in line with the nation’s commitment to progress and unity, aiming to provide top-tier services to both residents and visitors.
According to Emirates News Agency, the timing of Bolt’s launch emphasizes its dedication to aligning with the UAE’s vision of technological advancement and progress. This move ensures that the UAE continues to offer premium and sustainable services across all sectors, including transportation.
The introduction of Bolt in the UAE market supports Dubai’s government goals to transition 80% of taxi trips to e-hailing in the coming years. The user-friendly Bolt app allows consumers to effortlessly book rides, track their driver, and make payments directly through their smartphones.
Mansoor Alfalasi, CEO of Dubai Taxi Company, expressed his pleasure at the successful launch of Bolt, which was
announced in October. He highlighted that Dubai’s continuous influx of visitors creates a high demand for transportation. Bolt’s presence adds a valuable option for the community, facilitating easier and more accessible mobility through a mix of cars, taxis, and micro-mobility solutions.
The initial fleet comprises limousines from reputable fleet partners, including Dubai Taxi Company vehicles, providing affordable and luxury transport options to meet the rising demand. Future expansion plans include the introduction of taxi services on the app, with the vision to explore additional services across other emirates, such as delivery, e-scooters, and car rentals.
Eduard Suchánek, Regional Manager for the Middle East and North Africa, stated that launching Bolt during the 53rd Eid Al Etihad underscores their commitment to the UAE’s vision of progress and innovation. This expansion into the UAE marks another milestone for Bolt in the Middle East, following successful operations in Saudi Arabia and Egypt. Dubai’s
