Chamber of Commerce of Misrata discusses with Orlando ways of cooperation.President Al-Mashat visits martyr President Saleh Al-Sammad tomb

Misrata: Chairman of the Management Committee of the Misrata Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture, Fathi Al-Turki, met yesterday with the EU Ambassador to Libya, Nicola Orlando, and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting held at the Chamber’s headquarters in Misrata, in the presence of members of the ‘Pragma’ Consulting Organization and a group of businessmen in the city, the two parties discussed ways of cooperation between the Chamber and the EU Delegation in Libya, in addition to a number of joint projects between the two sides.

The meeting also discussed the specific center for training and entrepreneurship, which will be established by the Chamber, and the possibility of technical support from the EU delegation.

The meeting also included a presentation of the Libya Compete Project, which aims to improve the competitiveness of private sector companies in Libya and is implemented by Pragma with funding from the EU.

His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, Head of the Supreme Political Council, visited today,Tuesday, the tomb of the martyr President Saleh Ali Al-Sammad and his companions in Al-Sabeen Square in the capital, Sana’a, coinciding with the anniversary of his martyrdom.

During the visit, the President read Al-Fatiha for the soul of the martyr Al-Samad , the souls of his companions and all the martyrs of the nation, who wrote heroic epics in defense of Yemen, its sovereignty and independence.

He praised the virtues of the martyr Al-Sammad and his life’s journey, which he devoted to defending the nation’s issues, most notably the Palestinian issue, to which the reality of the entire region is linked.

Following the visit, President Al-Mashat opened an exhibition of photos of the martyr President Al-Sammad, which documents part of his life and struggle.

The President toured the pavilions of the exhibition and viewed its contents of pictures and models, praising the level of organization of the exhibition,
which is linked to a distinguished national figure who represented a model of giving and sacrifice for the sake of God , in defense of his homeland and its people.

He stressed continuing on the path of the martyr President Al-Sammad in building the nation , defending its security, sovereignty and independence.
