The General Directorate of Civil Defense urged the public to be cautious and remain in safe areas during the period of thunderstorms that will affect parts of the Kingdom from today until Sunday. It called on the public to avoid valleys and areas prone to flash floods, refrain from swimming in valley streams, and stay informed by following official announcements on various media outlets. Makkah region is expected to experience dust-stirring winds, moderate to heavy rainfall, and potential hailstorms. Al-Baha, Aseer, and Jazan regions may also witness moderate to heavy rainfall, while the Eastern Region and Madinah will likely experience light to moderate rain. Source: Saudi Press Agency
