Riyadh: The Minister of Commerce, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, held meetings today with five ministers and officials on the sidelines of the first day’s events of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Special Meeting hosted in Riyadh.
Al-Qasabi met with the Malaysian Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz, the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy of Korea, Lee Chang-yang, and the Tanzanian Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade, Dr. Ashatu Kijaji, to discuss ways to enhance trade exchange with their countries and transfer qualitative knowledge and experiences.
Al-Qasabi, along with Vice Minister of Commerce Dr. Iman bint Habas Al-Mutairi met with Lord Mayor of the City of London Corporation Dr. Michael Mainelli and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the “A.P. Moller – Maersk” Holding Group, Robert Maersk Uggla.
During the meeting, they discussed partnership prospects for enhancing sustainable development efforts and cooperation in the field of logistics infrastruct
ure and shipping to bolster the Kingdom’s position as a regional trade hub.
