Dabaiba calls for African countries to be recognized as true partners in international development.


Rome: Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, confirmed today, Monday, that the time has come to make a qualitative shift and recognize African countries as true partners in international development.

In his speech during the Italian-African summit in Rome, Dabaiba called for moving away from the security-based approach in dealing between Europe and Africa.

He said that there are approaches that can address important issues such as immigration, political stability and security, stressing the necessity of moving towards a development approach that aims to develop relations with the countries of the continent to create a new reality.

The Prime Minister pointed out that the importance of Africa does not lie only in the fact that it is a continent rich in various resources and natural wealth, according to the Prime Minister’s Media Office.
