Dubai: Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE), the global aviation services company, today reported its business transactions update for the full year 2025.
According to Emirates News Agency, DAE Capital closed 2025 having accomplished a series of significant transactions. Notably, the company signed and completed the US$2.0 billion acquisition of Nordic Aviation Capital. Throughout the year, DAE acquired a total of 280 aircraft, with 261 being owned and 19 managed, while also selling 112 aircraft, comprised of 95 owned and 17 managed. Additionally, DAE signed 273 lease agreements, extensions, and amendments, of which 227 were owned and 46 managed. The company also finalized a long-term sale and leaseback transaction with United Airlines for 10 Boeing 737-9 aircraft and placed 10 Boeing 737-8 aircraft on long-term lease with AJet. Furthermore, DAE successfully priced a US$610 million two-tranche aircraft ABS for a managed asset client.
In the engineering sector, DAE Engineering reported booking over 1.8 million man hours, conducted more than 320 aircraft checks, and served over 60 airline customers from more than 30 countries across five continents. The company also expanded its operational capacity by inaugurating a new 5-bay hangar, which increased its capacity by 30 percent.
The group as a whole achieved remarkable financial milestones, raising US$3.9 billion in debt financing with a weighted average maturity of 5.3 years. Furthermore, DAE accessed the sukuk market by issuing a US$650 million 5-year benchmark transaction and was placed on Positive Outlook by KBRA.
Firoz Tarapore, Chief Executive Officer of DAE, commented on the results, stating that 2025 was a pivotal year for DAE, during which the company enhanced its global presence and solidified its standing as a leading aviation services corporation. He noted that DAE Capital ended the year with a 35% fleet growth and now ranks within the top five global lessors by fleet count, while DAE Engineering continues to lead as the independent airframe MRO in the region.
